Finger Paint
You are never to old to Finger Paint!

1/2 cup cornstarch
3/4 cup cold water (divided)
2 cups hot water
2 teaspoons Listerine (great preservative)
1 tablespoon glycerine ( i get mine in a bulk store in the cake decorating section)
small screw top jars
food colouring

In a saucepan, mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup cold water to make a paste
Add hot water, stirring vigorously to prevent lumps
Cook over loow heat, stirring constantly until it begins to boil
Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup cold water and Listerine
Stir until thoroughly mixed
Add glycerine to mixture (slows the dryin process)
Pour into small jars and add desired food colouring.

Because this dries slowly, it is excellent to use with small children. It has a smooth, glossy finish and can be used on dry paper as well as wet. it will keep a long time in airtight containers!
