Heraldic image of a Ypotryll.
The Ypotryll is a legendary creature featured in heraldry. It's a type of chimaera with the tusked head of a boar, humped body of a camel, legs and hooves of an ox or goat and tail of a serpent.
Its name probably derives from the greek "hippo-", horse (cf. Middle English "ypotame", hippopotamus).
